Weekend Sports Betting Guide – 9/10 March 2018

AFLW – Round 6

Adelaide (W) V Fremantle (W)

Friday 09/03/2018 – 7:05pm
Odds: Adelaide $1.26, Fremantle $3.90
Round 6 kicks off with the Crows and Dockers in the Northern Territory. Both sides are still a slim chance for the final so this is a crucial matchup. Last week, the Crows thrashed the Blues. But they may be missing Erin Phillips and an earlier draw has hurt their chances for the final. For the Dockers, they lost at home against the Giants and sit 6th on the ladder. Their season is pretty much over but they can still match the Crows. In the end, this should be a close contest at a neutral venue and the tri-bet for either side is a good bet.
Best bet: Either team under 15.5 points $1.91

GWS (W) vs Bulldogs (W)

Saturday 10/03/2018 – 7:10pm
Odds: Bulldogs $1.44, GWS $2.81
Saturday night AFW action is an interesting clash between the Giants and Bulldogs. The Bulldogs can wrap up top position on the ladder with a win. However, the Giants are 4th and can still finish second with a win. But in the end, they are likely to struggle in the backline against a strong Bulldogs forward line. They’re easily the best scoring team in AFLW and that will be the major difference between the sides. They also comfortably beat the Giants in last seasons matchup. So in the end, the Bulldogs should be able to cover the line.
Best bet: Bulldogs -8.5 $1.90

NBA – Friday Multi

Brooklyn Nets At Charlotte Hornets

Friday 09/03/2018 – 11:10am
Odds: Hornets $1.33, Nets $3.47
In the first leg of our NBA multi, we’ll be backing the Hornets to beat the Nets. Charlotte has beaten the Nets on the road in the last 3 meetings, including twice in February. They’ve also scored 110+ points in all three victories. Both sides have lost 4 straight games but the Hornets have more upside. The Nets have one of the worst away records with just 8 wins in 32 games.
Best bet: Hornets $1.33

Philadelphia 76ers At Miami Heat

Friday 09/03/2018 – 11:40am
Odds: Heat $1.92, 76ers $1.92
The second leg is going to be a tough pick between the 76ers and Heat. They can’t be split in the betting but the home side Heat is our pick. They beat the 76ers by a point in the last meeting at home and they’re 18-13 in Miami this season. They’re also 6-0 against the 76ers at home since 2015. So the Heat defence should be able to contain Philadelphia this Friday.
Best bet: Heat $1.92

Phoenix Suns At Oklahoma City Thunder

Friday 09/03/2018 – 12:10pm
Odds: Thunder $1.17, Suns $5.35
In the third leg, it’s a safe bet to back the Thunder at home against the Suns. The Thunder are 21-11 at home this season and face the Suns who have a 10-23 record on the road. The Thunder are much better on defence and that will be the key. The Suns allow 113 points per game and the Thunder allow just 104. OKC is coming two straight losses (against two good teams – Houston, Portland) but they are 21-11 at home after a loss. Their last win was also an 8 point road win against the Suns.
Best bet: Thunder $1.17

San Antonio Spurs At Golden State Warriors

Friday 09/03/2018 – 2:40pm
Odds: Warriors $1.11, Spurs $7
The last leg is another safe bet with the Warriors against the Spurs. Golden State is 7-0 against the Spurs and look to have them covered on offence. They have scored 110 or more points in all seven wins and that will be the key. San Antonio isn’t in great form either. They’re 2-3 in their last 5 games and that includes a 2 point win over the woeful Grizzlies. They’re just 14-19 on the road this season and the Warriors are 25-7 at home.
Best bet: Warriors $1.11

NBL – Finals

Perth Wildcats v Adelaide 36ers

Friday 09/03/2018 – 8:38pm
Odds: Wildcats $1.78, 76ers $2.05
With Melbourne locked into the Grand Final, Adelaide and Perth are battling for the second spot. In the first final between the sides, the 36ers absolutely smashed the Wildcats by 35 points in the end. They have beaten the Wildcats in the last two meetings by 11+. However, they are mainly favourites in the betting due to a 21 point win in the last meeting against Adelaide at Perth Arena. They surely can’t play worse with their season on the line and at home. So we’ll be looking at the over total points which is 2-1 in the last 3 meetings between the sides. Adelaide averages 93 points per game and they’re 34-24-2 against the over this season. The Wildcats are 33-29 against the over and since 2013, they have a 14-10 over total record against Adelaide.
Best bet: Over 176.5 points $1.90

NRL Specials – Round 1

12 points – You win!
The best bet of the round for the 12 up you win promotion would be the Roosters. They are 14-1 against the Tigers and will be looking to keep their winning ways going against Wests. They also picked up former Tiger James Tedesco in the offseason. The other teams that could go out to a 12 point margin are the Raiders and Rabbitohs. The Raiders are playing the Gold Coast and they don’t have a great defensive record. The Raiders also thrashed them at this venue last season. For the Rabbitohs, they play against the Warriors and they could smash them. Greg Inglis is back and they added Dane Gagai, which improves their ability to score points.

Round 1 Tips
Dragons WIN
Sea Eagles WIN
Cowboys WIN
Roosters WIN
Rabbitohs WIN

Rugby Union – Friday Night

Rebels V Brumbies

Friday 09/03/2018 – 7:45pm
Odds: Rebels $1.66, Brumbies $2.23
On Friday night, the Rebels and Brumbies battle in Melbourne. The Rebels have kicked off the season with two impressive wins. They thrashed the Reds in the first match and easily beat the Sunwolves last week. With the addition of a few Force players and Will Genia, this team is looking strong. They also beat the Brumbies last year at home 19-17. ACT looked poor last week in an 18-10 loss to the Reds. This is probably going to be another tough away match for the Brumbies. The Rebels are already averaging 41 points per match and it’s hard to see the Brumbies keeping up with them in the end. So the line of 3.5 points is good value for the Rebels.
Best bet: Rebels -3.5 $1.90
