Horse Racing Betting Tips – Saturday 7th October 2017

Horse Racing Tips at Flemington

Read through our best bets at Flemington this Saturday.

Best WIN Bet: Leather’n’lace (Race 6, No. 4)

WIN: $3.00 at William Hill or PricePump at $3.40

Leather’n’lace has been dominant in her early career with 3 wins from 4 starts. She has won three straight races and hasn’t really been challenged. She is trained by Darren Weir who is one of the best trainers in Victoria. Damian Lane has ridden her in all 4 starts and he’s having his best year in terms of winning percentage (18.14%). She’ll be hard to beat and $3.40 for a PricePump is value.

Best WIN Bet: Almandin (Race 7, No. 1)

WIN: $2.05 at William Hill or PricePump at $2.25

Almandin is warming up for another Melbourne Cup stint and he looked great last start. He comfortably beat Crocodile Rock at Flemington. This will be his third start this prep and he’ll be even fitter for this race. He loves racing at Flemington having won the Melbourne Cup last year and he’s won 3 of 4 starts here. He’s also undefeated at the distance in 2 starts. We are all over Almandin to win this one.

Best PLACE Bet: Prompt Response (Race 8, No. 1)

PLACE: $2.65 at William Hill

In the Blazer Stakes, Prompt Response is a good value bet for the place. She returned from a spell last start and should be fitter 2nd up. She’s been impressive at the distance in her career with 6 placings from 7 starts. She’s also finished second twice at Flemington in 2 career starts. So she’s a good place bet on Saturday.

Horse Racing Tips at Randwick

Read through our best bets at Randwick this Saturday.

Best WIN Bet: Sanctioned (Race 7, No. 4)

WIN: $4.40 at William Hill or PricePump at $4.80

In the Spring Champion Stakes, we’re all over Sanctioned. He’s been unlucky lately with a few placings, so we think he’s primed for a victory. He’s trained by Jame Cummings and Kerrin McEvoy is a quality jockey. He only just lost against the favourite for this race (Ace High) in his last start, but we’re backing him to go one better on Saturday.

Best PLACE Bet: Sully (Race 7, No. 9)

PLACE: $2.45 at William Hill

Sully has finished outside of the placings in just 1 of 5 career starts so he’s a good bet for the place. He did finish 4th last start but the three week break should help. Back Sully for the place in Race 7.

Best PLACE Bet: Savapinski (Race 8, No. 13)

PLACE: $3.50 at William Hill

Punters have warmed to Savapinski after moving in from $14 into $11 for the win. But we’re sticking with the place bet as $3.50 is value for this horse. She has won two straight starts and is coming off a 3 week spell. She rides well after a break and she’s also in good form. Savapinski is also unbeaten at the distance and she gets a good barrier draw (4). Back her for the place.

Best WIN Bet: Firsthand (Race 9, No. 4)

WIN: $4.40 at William Hill or PricePump at $5.00

Firsthand is a strong performer in first up racing with 2 wins from 4 starts. He’s also unbeaten at the distance in 2 starts. He won his last race before a spell at Rosehill and has trialled strongly for this one. So he’ll be fresh from the break and we’re picking him to win this race.
